Word Heard
I’m still writing every day,
Guess I must have things to say.
So now the thoughts are coming out,
I need to spread the words about.
They’re in a book not yet read,
I need the words out there instead.
I’ve been writing words for years,
Now I want them heard by ears.
About the Author:
Brian Prentice began writing in 1990 at age 44. His mother, who passed away that year, won first prize for a poem About a Tree at Polo Park. She said, at that time, not all poetry has to rhyme you know. Sorry Mum! The authors hobbies include canvas canoe restoration, stained glass, furniture refinishing and ruminating.
About the Book:
This book is a compilation of thoughts and feelings that the author found hard to express verbally, so he decided to write them in rhyme. The themes are Adventure, Birth, Children, Death, Dreams, Emotions, Evolution, Parents, Relationships, Romance, Thoughts, Time and Work on Self.
